DevOps is a concept based on the knowledge areas of Lean and Agile and drives Business Agility in an Organization. DevOps is not only about the implementation of new tools and technologies but also involves a change in mindset and behaviors, which leads to a cultural shift. The cultural part is often misunderstood and leads to the failure of DevOps Transformation. 

Certified Enterprise DevOps Coach (LAI-EDC) is a designation provided to someone who completes the Learning Objectives for DevOps Coaching, with its Foundation on Lean and Agile Coaching as well as Organizational and Systems Coaching and Knowledge Area of Business Agility and demonstrates the knowledge to perform this role.

Certified DevOps Coach helps teams, stakeholders and the entire organization implement DevOps concepts and principles and enable everyone involved to make that mindset shift to embrace DevOps Culture.

  1. Describe the DevOps concepts and principles and how they are intertwined with Lean and Agile.

  2. Connect the role of a DevOps Coach to DevOps principles.

  3. Demonstrate the mindset and role of a DevOps Coach.

  4. Explain the characteristics and responsibilities of a DevOps Coach.

  5. Explain the DevOps Coaching Model / Process.

  6. Discuss the Ethics of a DevOps Coach.

  7. Describe the Coaching Competencies of a DevOps Coach, including Lean-Agile Coaching and Organizational and Systems Coaching.

  8. Demonstrate Professional Coaching skills (Active Listening, Powerful Questions, Observations, and Feedback)

  9. Establishing Feedback culture using different Feedback techniques.

  10. Demonstrate different methods for Team Coaching, including Coaching for Continuous Improvement and Gemba Walk.

  11. Facilitate and Coach Teams to become high-performing Teams.

  12. Discuss how to manage interactions and influence behaviors.

  13. Describe Organizational Goals and steps to coach and perform Organizational / DevOps Transformation.
