Certification Overview

Certified Design Thinking Practitioner (LAI-DTP) is a designation provided to someone who completes the Learning Objectives for Design Thinking and demonstrates the knowledge to perform this role. Design Thinking is an important tool to achieve Business Agility which is an important Knowledge Area in the Enterprise Agile Coaching Competency Framework.

This course empowers the learners with effective mindsets of a designer to solve design and business problems for their organization with creative thinking. 

 
Learning Objectives

After going through LAI-DTP certification course, the learners are able to:

  1. Describe design thinking and why we need it.

  2. Explain the design thinking approach to solving problems.

  3. Describe business uses of design thinking.

  4. Describe the design thinking mindset and Assess themselves for having traits of a design thinker.

  5. Apply design thinking approaches and tools to a variety of challenges and problems.

  6. Explain the concept of empathy & ethnography in the context of Design Thinking.

  7. Explain the concept of divergent and convergent thinking.

  8. Explain the concept of prototyping in the context of Design Thinking.

  9. Describe the various Design Thinking Process / Approaches - Double Diamond, d.School 5-Stage Design Thinking Process and Designing for Growth.

  10. Apply Product Design Thinking and Service Design Thinking to real-life cases and organizations.
